The Ajman freehold property market may not conjure up the same level of glamour as that associated with the Dubai property market, however it would be a huge mistake to overlook all the potential of the property on offer here and the current low market prices. Akhawat Abaya Couture Launch

Akhawat Abaya Couture is a new company launching an exclusive range of handmade couture abayas this month. All the abayas are made bespoke, allowing you to tailor your abaya to your exact measurements, chosen colour and embroidery. The Akhawat website will be launching early this year, until then all of the abayas can be previewed on their Facebook page.

Akhawat are currently running a competition for the Spring/Summer 2011 launch, where they are asking for creative names for their abayas. There are £50 vouchers up for grabs for each of the 25 abayas names, and a £200 voucher for the overall winner. You can find further details of the competition here, closing date is January 15th 2011.

Spring 2011
Anyone else fed up with knitwear now? It's definitely time for a look at some fresh style inspiration for Spring. Andrew Gn's collection particularly includes plenty of modest style ideas. I love the bright maxi skirts and smart, longer-length tailored jackets. It took me a while to notice, but many of the models are also wearing co-ordinating headwraps and turbans too!

the ladies and couples for the night who competed for the best dressed

christy wong was the winnner of best dressed lady, wearing a kirsty doyle dress and philip wright hat from the burjuman millinery exhibition. and milena diaz with paul lewis in vintage won the best dressed couple.

this actually made me wish i attended the 2010 dubai world cup at meydan. i guess im gonna have to wait till next year. sigh.

They look great. Very deserving winners. I had a look through Ahlan/Khaleej Times photos and have to say honestly some of the hats and dresses were hideous. People obviously going for the shock factor to get in the mags/papers. But the winner above looks gorgeous - very demure and classic.
