Latest buys.
When quickly passing through Heathrow airport I managed to do some x-press beauty shopping.
All time beauty favourites of mine. Read here, here and here.
Once back home and one quick trip to Doobs Mall later I came home with a sequin blazer from River Island and a cashmere - esque green mini dress from H&M. I have been looking for a neutral colour sparkly blazer for ages and I have strong loving feelings for this one. I'll be teaming it with skinny jeans, biker boots and matte red lips for an rock'n'rolla day time look.

Random 5
Today's (very random) 5 insights by Yours Truly:
- being sick over the Holidays sucks. On the 'glass is half full' side of things, guilt free FRIENDS and SATC marathon in bed kinda softened the punch. Throw in the greasiest home delivery risotto from Carluccios (consumed in bed, none of the dining table nonsence) and it turned out to be an OK couple of days.
- my appartment that I have lived in for 3 months now is slowly turning from an 'acommodation' into a 'home'. High 5 to nesting.
Latest addition to the Casa de Teresa is the silver lantern I picked up during a recent trip to Morocco.
- Samba de Bencao by Bebel Gilberto (heard in the movie Eat Pray Love) is quite possibly one of the most sensual songs out there at the moment. On the other hand I am a hardcore fan of Brazillian music. Call me biased but I a

Single gal's shoes.
As Carrie B once put it, walking in a single gal's shoes is hard enough as it is. The least you can do is to make sure that they are really fabulous shoes.
I love my peachy platforms from ALDO that I got during a 4 day trip to Beirut last summer. Because they are quite eye catching I always wear them with something simple. This time I went for ACNE jeans, a Forever21 tee and BIG HAIR on top of that. (Pun totally intended)!

Let there be light!
I have spent my day trying to get into the Chrissy spirit!
- little Santas placed out all over the house: check!
- Jo Malone pine & eucalyptus Christmas edition candle: purchased!
- gingerbread bake: in progress!
- Nat King Cole's Christmas record: on repeat...
So far so good! Now about to get dressed to head to Caramel Lounge. In the spirit of the day, I'll be sporting lips as red as Santa's robe. Later skaters, have yourself a lovely lovely evening!

Budget babe
Gotta love budget shopping - here are a few pieces I picked up earlier this month. If it doesn't cost more than groceries IT DOESN'T COUNT AS SHOPPING!
The oldest beauty tip in the world - rose water as a toner. Suuuper cute boxers, to slack around the house in, with a pair of Uggs. From Forever21.
Finally, OMG! Don't you just love this Burberry - esque dress? The photo doesn't do it justice, it is in fact millitary green and surprisingly well made for a Forever21 piece. I'll wear it with a killer tan and my golden Choos!
Now just need to work on that killer tan which seems hard in windy and cloudy Dubai?

Retro
I love how companies like Benefit and Soap&Glory use packaging that's inspired by a whimsical retro vibe.
Well, I have found The Real Deal - Talcum Powder from Karachi for 9 dhs (that's 2 US for ya!) whilst rummaging through deepest darkest Bur Dubai.
I don't think I will use the actual powder but how awesome is the can? It has kept it's original design since it was first manufactured in the 20's (my best friend Faisal educated me on that, since his Grandma was an amid user..). So now I have emptied the can and it is standing on my night stand, the turquoise color fitting in perfectly with my interior - it really doesn't get more retro than this!

Tour of Scandinavia, part II
If in Sweden during wintertime (Gothenburg to be precise..) there are 2 things that you simply must do:
First of all, show some support to the extended Candy&Cookie family and go eat at my brothers newly opened restaurant, North&South.
North (upstairs) stands for food from North America. Deep friend Snickers bars anyone?
South as you will have guessed by now represents South America and is a Brazillian steak house. So just like in the photo above, you come in from the raging cold outside to a little slice of your own Copacabana... (The hottest spot north of Havanna...)
Feijoada just like in Brazil!
