Dubai: A seven-card fight night takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre Friday with the UAE's ‘Arabian Warrior' Eisa Al Dah taking on Spain's Ignasi Cabellero Parez.
Southpaw Al Dah, aged 32 has a 6-2 win record with three KO's to his name ahead of this four-round welterweight bout against orthodox Parez, 28 of Girona, Cataluna who has a 5-3 record, five wins by KO two defeats by KO.
Parez will be looking to put an end to a three-fight string of defeats with his last six reading W-W-W-L-L-L while Al Dah whose last six fight form reads W-L-W-W-W-L also needs to bounce back from a defeat.
More painful than that loss would have been the sad demise of his father Mohammad Al Dah who passed away on January 20 due to a kidney ailment. Eisa is said to be fighting on for the honour of his father.
Although it's not the headline fight, Al Dah versus Parez, the penultimate duel, has drawn more attention due to Al Dah being the UAE's first and only boxer.
The actual headline sees three time national golden glove winner Brad ‘The Sultan' Solomon of the USA face Mexico's Victor Correa in a 10 round welterweight clash.
Build up fights from 6.30pm until 11.30pm include heavyweight Abdul Manem Kabbani of Syria against Bernard Adie of Kenya, super-light-weight Mohammad Akram of Syria against Egypt's Mustafa Said, light heavyweight Ali Hussain Mardi of Iran against Suhail William Ahmad Nazzal of Jordan, super welterweight Mehdi Ramezani of Iran against Anas Abdul Rahman of Iraq, followed by light-heavyweight Abdullah Abou Hamdan of Lebanon against Eisa Ramezanipaland of Iran.
Tickets have been priced between Dh150 and Dh650 and are available at Time Out Dubai, Eppco and Enoc stations, Mox Office Middle East, Spinneys, Zoom and Virgin Mega Stores.
